Remembering Why I'm Here

His eyes stare right through me.
Lifeless.
The sirens become increasingly louder and my gaze into his eyes becomes deeper with each wail.
John Wakefield's blood will forever stain me.
What is wrong with me?
Have I succumb to this evil inside me?
I hear the blow horn yell orders.
"Drop the sword and turn around!"
I look at the blood that drips from the sword as the cop pushes me to the ground and reads me my rights.
I don't have any rights.
Rights are earned.
I haven't earned any, just taken them away.
The officer takes me by my broken wrist and I flinch. Thinking I was resisting arrest, he knocked me across the back of the head with the butt of his gun.
Vision blurred, he threw me in the back of the car.
All I saw was Seth, staring outside with his family holding them close.
Luther must have set him up. That's the only excuse I could conjure.
I asked for ace bandage to wrap up my swollen wrist. The same cop who pistol whipped punched me so hard it knocked me out.
Black.

"Baby, I need your help over here. I'm getting eaten alive," I hear faintly as I remember the last time I was with Draven.
Her sweet voive retaliates,"If I save you, you owe me. Big time."
"I know I'll save you during the real zombie apocolypse."
"Maybe I want something else. Like now," she whispers sensuously in my ear.
"Baby! I'm getting devoured!" I yell.
She pauses the game and I remember that stare. Those eyes of pure lust burned into my skull. She climbed over me and nibbled on my neck.
"Here I am Kingsly...saving you. You owe me." She licked all over my neck and I couldn't resist much longer.
She had done all the right moves to get me in the mood. Now it was my turn.
I grabbed her and carried her to the bedroom. She kept nibbling on my neck and biting on my ear. She knew all the buttons to keep pushing.
Our bed was a queen sized, worn in bed that we both picked put with the money from our wedding. It was going to be extremely worn in by the time we were done.
I laid her gently on the bed, and she grabbed me closer with the vise grip she had with her legs. I was already a bit sweaty, and so was she. I did us both a favor and took off her shirt, slowly.
Draven somehow knew what to do in bed. I was her first and she was such a pleaser in the bedroom. Draven took my shirt off and our semi sweaty bodies were on top of eachother.
We switched positions. She was now on top and she went to go take off my pants.

While I was knocked out I continue to remember my last night with Draven.

I unhooked her red and white bra and her breasts were now free. Climbing down to my legs, Draven took the belt off with such ease, like she was ready for me to show her night she would never forget. Pulling my pants off, she left my boxers exposed. She ran her hand down my boxers and looked at me, My blue eyes met her blue eyes and we connected in a way that only true lovers were meant to connect. I had been so in the moment that I realized that her pants were still on.
So I grabbed her by the back and flipped around.
There was no point of sheets because they would just keep us wrapped up and not able to reach our full hot potential that was about to happen.
Mouth agape, sweet little moans escaped that precious, delicate mouth of hers. I licked my way down to her stomach. Starting with her neck, she started to breathe heavy. A heavier breath was taken with each nibble. I then ran my hand through her brown hair as she grabbed a hold of my black hair. Steam continues to perpetuate off us as I ran my tongue down to her legs.
I unbuttoned her pants and took them off, and now we were both in our underwear.
I stripped them off and there she laid.
Naked.
She was such a delicate person... I was ready to make her a little less innocent.
Apparently she was thinking the same thing.
She arose from her back and rolled us around on the bed. She was on top of me and she had already taken off my boxers.
I remember asking myself how'd she do that? She was talented! I loved it!
Draven threw her head back and started to ride me.
I was in her. Her facial expression was as though she had been waiting for this for a long a time. I could not help but Moan and scratch to the pleasure, and she took that as a sign to keep going. Her wet body was on top of me, grinding, and her lips were pressed against my ear whispering, "Fuck me."
At that moment I pulled out and flipped her on her back.
I go down on her and start biting on her leg.
Around the thigh.
And then I start to lick around her.
She grabbed the pillows and arched her back as she screamed my name.
Pleasing her was one of the best ways I could show I truly loved her. And I loved to please.
Using my tongue to tickle her inside, she couldn't help but to keep having multiple orgasms.
Draven finally regained some sense. Pulling my hair, she laid me on my back.
That look of pure sexual animal came across her as she went down on me.
Her lips went around my tip, and she teased by just licking at first.
I rememebr my eyes rolling back and loud sounds coming out of my mouth.
Draven was done teasing.
As she places me inside of her mouth, I gasp.
The feeling is indescribable.
Her teeth gently scrape against me chills run down my body.
Grabbing a hold of her hair, I pick up her head and start kissing her with the fiery passion that we have.
I get oftop of her and force myself inside of her. Her hands grab the edge of the bed as she finishes with multiple orgasms.
An hour an a half later, we lie in bed cuddling.
Stroking her hair, I rememeber how much I love her.
I remember!

I wake up from my extremely hot memory and realize this isn't about me, this is about Draven and how she's in danger.
I've let revenge overtake me.
The wrong revenge.
I'm fighting because Luther stole me from Draven, my one true love, not becuase I'm angry about being what I am.

The two cops don't realize that I'm awake.
Running my hand through my black, thick hair, I stare at the cop that punched me through the rear view mirror.
His eyes meet my cold ones and that's the last thing he ever sees.
I climb over the passenger seat and crunch every tendon in his neck.
His blood flows down my throat like water would rush through an empty pipe.
The thickness of his blood streamed through me and rushed through my veins.
It's as if I was bathing in ice after recieving third degree burns.
He was my ice.
My thisrt was the burn.
The cops drained body stained the seats as I pushed both of us out the door.
He became my cushion as we both skidded on the pavement.
Running.
Swiftly.
The cop driving wasn't going to find me.
I ran through the forest and into the trees.
I can't be found.
When I know that I'm safe, I pull out the "excuse" I had been left.
I'm back on track.
I know why I'm here.
Luther...I see you.

I Didn't Ask...I Took

It hasn't even been four hours and my lifeline to Draven is ringing. I have no other choice but to answer it. While the muffled ringtone continued, time stood still as I was thinking to myself what I needed to say to Luther and what was I going to do about Seth?
He stares at me, knowing that Luther will be on the other end. I stare back, sword in hand, and look at him ,tell him to go onto another room and wait for me.
Seth knodded.
As I pick up the phone out of my pocket, the ringtone stops abruptly.
I waited too long to answer! He better c....
Coming Undone vibrates in my hand.
Not hesitating this time, I hit send and answer.
"Luther?"
"You're starting to learn. Way to go Kingsly. Sorry, I got impatient. I figured you were done being angry with me and sucked it up and killed Seth. Did you?" he asked. It seemed like he already knew the answer. Somehow, he knew I hadn't viscioulsy murdered Seth.
I speak up, knowing he won't be happy with my answer.
"You didn't tell me he had family. I can't believe I almost let you get to me."
Luther, with his annoying chuckle replies,
"I knew you couldn't do it. I was just talking to Draven about how much of a woman you are. She's touchy when it comes to you Kingsly. I think she loves you. Anyway, I knew you didn't kill Seth. I took the liberty of having you followed. He should be outside the window right now."
Never in my life had I gathered up so much anger. It's as if I kept stubbing my toe on the same piece of annoying furniture. My eyes, filled with hate, disgust, and fire veered over to the window where I saw him. A dark figure sitting in the tree, waving at me.
I smile and wave back, knowing the sword is right under my feet if I need it.
"Is that your puppy Luther. He's cute," using sarcasm to hide my fear of what he might do to Draven.
Luther continues in his annoying tone. The tone that someone has when they know that they are winning.
He won't win. I promise.
"You're a funny man, Kingsly. But I can hear right through that smart mouth of yours. You're scared. And you should be. Have fun."
I hear a sudden hint of a scream as the phone goes silent.
DRAVEN!!!
My pain pumped through me harder and harder for each second I heard that aweful cry.
The window shatters and Luther's puppet stands with the same smirk he had when I glanced at window.
He looked like he hadn't feasted for weeks. His pale skin told me that he wasn't just a normal puppy of Luther's, he was one of them, one of me.
A vampire.
A demon.
Out for blood, and I was standing in his way of fresh meat.
I looked behind and saw Seth, frozen in his place.
"SETH...GET OUT..."
The vampire tackled me and punched me square in the nose.
For a lanky man, he packed a punch hard.
As I laid there, I happened to see Seth run and Luther's caddie start to run after him.
Instinctly, I grabbed his leg and bought Seth plenty of time to hide.
He turned around, stomped on my wrist, grabbed it and bent it back so every bone in my wrist was snapped.
Crying in the purest of agony, a switch was turned, my pupils dialated, and I thought of Draven screaming as I pursued this monster.
I had enough.
I swung around, tripping him and grabbing his leg with the hand that hadn't been mutilated. The sword that was meant for Seth, now had a new destiny... to get answers.
I grabbed the sword and stuck it straight through the calf of his leg.
His agonizing yell topped mine.
I couldn't help but smile.
My wrist was throbbing, but that didn't matter. What mattered was the answers this scum was going to give me.
"Alright. I know you're not going to cooperate because that would be too easy. So I'm going to give you a warning, so that you know I mean business."
A sword never meant as much to me as it did now.
I took it out of his leg, slowly, so he would feel my pain that I was about to take out on him.
"You won't miss this."
Clean cut. Right above the knee.
I ignore the excruciating cry coming from this creature and kneel down in front of him, looking him dead in the eye.
I can see he's scared. I can see he won't be easy to break. His tears remind me of my own. But I don't sympathize.
Not anymore.
I'm done being sympathetic.
Sympathy is why I'm here.
With the leg severed from his body, Luther's lacky stared at me and bit his lip from the pain.
I don't care.
" First off. The name is Kingsly. I want you know that name so you know who the hell you're dealing with. And you are...?"
He doesn't want to talk.
I grab the sword and scrape the blade on the ground like nails on a chalkboard.
His fear kick starts his mouth to utter the name "Bishop."
"Ok,Bishop. I'll start off with a simple question. Where is Luther?"
I'm keeping my tone very sweet because I know what his answer will be.
"You cant't break me Kingsly. I won't tell," spits Bishop.
I cock my head sideways like a dog does when he sees something he doesn't quite comprehend.
Another clean cut above the knee.
I'm finding a joy in this.
I shouldn't, but my inner demon is making his appearence.
"I'm going to ask you again Bishop. Where. Is. Luther?"
He's crying.
He doesn't know pain. Bishop knows nothing of pain. Losing an appendage has nothing on losing a soul mate.
Finally, after about ten minutes of his wailing, Bishop whispers the words,
"Basement."
"Ok Bishop, we are getting somewhere. Now, where is this basement?"
Silence.
He bites his lip and I just chuckle.
"You're only hurting yourself."
An arm becomes seperated from his body as more screaming...intense screaming, escapes his mouth.
I look over and Seth stands at the entrence.
"Go away Seth. You don't understand what I'm going through."
"It starts with anger. It consumes you until you can't see the world anymore. You just see black. It clouds your mind Kingsly. Anger will always win if you let it."
Who does he think he is? He's never been like this! Seth has never felt the emptiness I've felt for 6 months.
"You don't know what it's like Seth! To feel empty. All the time! Anger is what will save Draven! Now let this scum get what he deserves!"
"You'll see Kingsly. You'll get lost."
I'm already lost.
"Now Bishop....what basement?"
He's losing blood fast and passing out is iminent.
"BISHOP! THE BASEMENT!"
Gathering up the energy he speaks,
"Remember....the basement...in your apartment...building?"
Bishop smiles and coughs in the process.
I'm gripping the sword so tight my palms are bleeding.
Clean cut. Bishops left arm is seperated and screams replace the arm.
"WHO'S SMILING NOW!"
I yell at the blade of the sword as I slice off the remaining body part.
No more smiling for Bishop.
No more smiling.
Seth comes in expecting for the mess to be cleaned up.
"Sorry Seth. He needed pursuaded."
Seth begins to talk but his voice is replaced by a sound that I heard when I killed the poor husband in the street.
Sirens.
"Seth...you....,"
I asked with concerned eyes.
"You can't just cut someone up and not expect neighbors to hear him scream. I beat the neighbors to the punch. Sorry."
He's not sorry.
I am.
For not killing him when I had the chance.
"I thought you and were going to help me Seth. I thought you, of all people wanted to help your brother."
Seth looks at me and replies,
"I'm with you all the way Kinglsy. I have the car waiting for you. I set up barbed wire in the driveway. Wait untill they pull in, then go. My phone number is on the seat. Call me when you get to where you need to be. I believe in you Kingsly. I need you. You're the only way we can cure you."
I regret thinking about killing Seth. He knows what he's doing. He's a husband and all husband's know what to do in dire situations.
"Can I... uh... keep the..."
Seth finishes my sentence,
"Sword. Please do. They're pulling in. Here's a piece of paper explaining what I told you. Don't open it yet. Go now."
I grab up the sword, jump out the shattered window, off the tree and onto the driveway where my ride awaited.
A white and black Crown Victoria, the only car unit in the driveway with two more on the way.
I look up at the window and Seth's lips, quivering, mutters "I'm sorry."
I stare at the cop who has a gun aimed at my chest.
His bullets don't effect me.
I'm dead already.
The sword burns in my hand.
"Do it Kingsly. Draven depends on it."
Swiftly, I manuver my way to the cop before the others get here.
He shoots once. The bullet penatrates my right shoulder.
He was too late. My sword ran though him as if he was melted butter.
John Wakesfield.
Male.
Mid 20's.
Cop.
Loyal husband.
Dead.
Anger was consuming me. Clouding my senses.
I kneel down as the sister Crown Vics pull in the driveway.

Coming Undone

"I figured he was going to send someone. I just didn't know when. Or if he was going to send one of his own."
"I'm nothing like him. Get that right now," I grunt with a fiery passion.
He doesn't understand. Luther and I are on different sides of the spectrum. And yet...we share a common enemy.
Thirst.
I continue.
"Why are you hanging around with Draven?"
Seth looks at his family who still seem to be frozen in fear.
"Guys go back to bed. Daddy's ok. Honey, I'll explain. Ok. Trust me."
I watch her eyes as they fill with tears. Each drop that fell to the floor, was my tear.
I can't stop thinking about Draven and the fear that she is feeling...and the..pain that Luther is causing her.
Gathering up my emotions, I yell.
"SETH! WHY ARE YOU SEEING DRAVEN!!! Luther has her and he is threatening to hurt her. And he wants your DAMN leg with some code on it! What the hell is going on?"
He sits back with a his hand on his lip.
I busted it up pretty bad. Here lately, I've been feeling more angry.
I've been losing touch with humanity and embracing, painfully, my demon.

"Draven, is my partner. Not my adultry partner, my lab assistant. her and I have been working for two years trying to continue her father's work to cure, well, vampires."
At that moment, more questions started to overwhelm me and that conversation we had before Resident Evil blurred into my memeory.
Why did she keep this from me?
Luther's comment, "A zoologist. Really Kingsly? How naive," overlapped my other memory.
Was she using the money I've raised to give to her for this research?
I blink and breathe slow.
She was in more danger than I thought. If she's working on the antidote...
I break the silence.
..."Does she have a code too?"
"Yes. But she doesn't have it on her body. She has it scattered in journals. One number, randomly, in 18 journals. Only she knows where they are and only she know the order. I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."
"Yeah. It's because I didn't pitch it."
Seth is getting irrated.
It's cute to see lab boy get flustered.
"Look. You just about killed me. I'm sure you cracked some teeth, AND you put me in an awkward position with my family. You owe me a name."
He was right.
I wouldn't have told him if he didn't pull the family card on me.
"Kingsly. And Draven...is MY wife."
"You're Kingsly? I thought you were dead."
"I am," I replay with blackend pupils.
"She talks about you all the time. How thoughtful you were, and how often she thinks about you. You know, every night..."
I finish his sentence.
..."She eats alone. At 7:30. She sits across the table and cries at the empty seat where I used to sit. And she talks to me as if I was there. She laughs as though I'm there creating that beautiful chuckle."
"She loves you Kingsly. She would never replace you. And I would never even attempt to try to make her change her mind. As you can see, I have my own family and loving wife here."
"You're a fellow husband,I respect that."
I couldn't tell him that with every moment passing by, I was imagining his warm blood filling my cold capsule of a body.
"So, Seth clears his throat, "luther sent you for the code? And you want to kow what the code is for? I'm sorry I won't tell you. The less you know, the safer you and Draven and everyone of your kind is. I can tell you that he doesn't want the antidote to cure himself and, no matter what he says, I'm not keeping it from him."
A sudden flashback of the forest hit me.

"Aren't you tired of being like this, because I am. And he's keeping valuable information from me! My own brother!"

I look at him. He has his sharp nose, his cheek bones.
"Your Luther's brother?"
"Yes. I'm trying to cure him. But he's been a vampire for so long that the demon wihin him has taken over and now he is consumed by it. He wants to destroy the antidote and everyone who knows about it. He already got to Athis. He was our vampire on the inside. Luther gave him poison and tore off the leg with part of the code on it. He wants mine. And I'm sure he's waiting to beat Draven's out of her. You see Kingsly, we are the only three that have the code parts."
"For what?"
"I can't! Ok! Telling you would put Draven in even more danger than she already is."
This nerd obviously doesn't know me.
"Listen here! I'm fighting every urge in ,my body to not rip you to pieces and drain you of every ounce of life out of you. Tell me...right now, what these codes are! I've had enough secrets!"
I'm now in his face with my hand gripping the sword that is close to his right leg.
He smells of fear.
"Alright, he answers as I let the grip loosen on the sword,"Ok. The codes each of us have are the codes to the safe box that hold all the ingredients to make the antidote. It took us that whole two year span to gather up each piece. From decyphering Draven's dad's journals to actually making the ingredients, took two years. We have one more ingredient in the making, and then after that it's a matter of the right combination to combine them. One way could be the antidote, another could create a bile that will make a vampire communion juice for lack of a better phrase. Kinglsy...Draven. Is. In.Serious. Danger.
I grip the sword and slice.
Seth screams at the top of his lungs.
The blade of the sword had merely scratched him.
"Then what do we do Seth? What the HELL do we do!"
Coming Undone fills the thick air.

Question

I watched him through the window hiding in a tree close to his house.
What did she see him. This Seth Balkner guy looked like he could'nt decide if he wanted to be nerdy or hot. With his short blonde buzz cut and his brown eyes with black rimmed glasses. The teeth were sortive straight, and had a mild gap between them, and his face was slightly rounded, but not fat.
That was his nerdy side.
Looking about 5'10", Seth was built. You could tell he worked out because there's no way he could have six pack working as a medical assistant. ( I made this conclusion by spotting the white trench coat hanging around his chair.)
If anything, Draven was seeing him for his body and his money. He obviously had it. His house was a Victorian style, three story house.
What did this gu ydo for a living besides studying medicine?
I shouldn't say that about Draven. She's not that shallow. I know this for a fact.
Going into a daze, i remember a certain incident that proves her non shallow characteristic.
"Why did you marry me? I mean I'm a pizza man and a student teacher! I don't wear the pants in this marriage at all," saying it with a smirk on my face.
We are having one of those nights where coffee and a movie sounds perfect. Lying in bed, under the covers cuddling, she looks at me with those Great Barrier Reefs I call her eyes and replies,
"Kingsly...
I knew when she said my first name she meant it.
"Baby, I married you. Not your money. If I wanted money, I would've married along time ago with this guy I met in high school. he ended being a loser and not being able to support himself. I mean, he always relied on money to bail him out of everything: tests, baseball practice, jail...you name it, he could bail out of it. Plus, having money tunred him into a dick. You know that people that have money and they know it? Yeah, he was that guy. Kinglsy, you have heart, you love me for me and my habits and my quirkiness. You accept me and look at me like no one else can. Don't question why I married you. Just take it."
She winks at me a cuddles into my chest as she holds onto me tight.

That memory slowly fades away and I tell myself to never call her shallow again.
Why does is she dating this guy?
With a name like Seth, he just sounds like he should be in research. He's teh nerdy researcher!
What does she in him?

As I watch him sit on the couch, i wait for the oportune moment to break in his house and do the deed that I was forced to do.
Luther was going to pay for using Draven against me to do his dirty work.
Why did he want Seth's leg?
He had a thing for legs. First that one guy's leg, now Seth's?
He said something about a code. What was this code for?
I don't care. As long as I get Draven back in my arms and I get my revenge, he can have all the legs he wants. I'll bury them with him.
I gather up the courage to go get into his house.
Seth may have Draven now, but he won't here soon. He'll wish he never interveined.
I take a leap from the innereds of the trees leaves, breaking into the windo of the top story where he was sitting watch TV.
I land right on him and light his face up with an angry punch.
That was seeing Draven.
He kicks me off him and he grabs a gun form under his chair and points to where I was.
Looking confused he asks in a shakey, low pitched voice,
"Who are you and whay do you want from me?"
From the shadow I breatheon his neck,
"I want your leg."
Seth's face turned white, and turned to see no one in back of him as he shot the 9mm where I had disappeared.
"Got ya."
He turned back around, and I took him by his collar and slammed into his big screen TV.
While I held him down, I looked for something to take his leg off.
I saw a sword rack above the TV.
I gave him a solid punch that left my knuckles hurting and retrieved a sword from it.
Pinning Seth and looking into his fearful eyes, I saw him look in the entrence to the room. A tear from his face fell to the floor and I dropped the sword.
His 3 kids and wife stood, watchimg me beating their father, her husband.
He was a husband.
Like me.
"But Draven! I saw...you and Draven."
He looked at me, and I let him up easy so he could wipe his face.
"He sent you? Didn't he? Let me exlplain."
Anticipation.
